I had always known about Vision Carriers, but I did not become a diligent member until 2013. Mummy Gloria encouraged me to attend one of the meetings after which I made up my mind to become a delegate. Attending those prayer meetings changed my life. It opened my eyes to some realities of our service to the Lord and my responsibilities as a woman in my home and family. I began to pray more for my family and began to cultivate the habit of waiting on the Lord for messages. The fellowship with other women drama ministers who were hungry and thirsty for God was infectious.
When the Lord relocated us to the United States, I remember Mummy Gloria’s prayer for me in front of all the brethren at the February 2016 Vision Carriers Annual Convention at Ile-Ife, Osun State, Nigeria. I did not know what the Lord would do. It was in October 2018 while I was in Cincinnati, Ohio, USA, undergoing a research training course that the Lord spoke to me to start Vision Carriers in the United States. So, after much prayers, waiting on the Lord and seeking counsel from Mummy and Daddy Bamiloye and permission from my Pastors, Vision Carriers Texas started. Our first prayer meeting was in June 2019.
Vision Carriers Texas was formally inaugurated on the 6th of
October 2019, by our Daddy in the Lord Evangelist Mike Bamiloye and Pastor
Tunde Badru. The Lord spoke to us from 1 Corinthians 2:9, “Eye has not seen,
nor ears heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which
God has prepared for them that love Him.” Though our beginning was small, He
was taking us somewhere big and glorious.
Our monthly activities include prayers, word, bible reading
guides and other interactions on our WhatsApp platform as led by the Holy
Spirit. We fast and pray every Thursday of the week.
The first convention
took place virtually online from the 30th to 31st of October 2020; the theme was ‘The Encounter’.
We launched our first magazine, and produced a movie titled ‘Baggage’ which
premiered at our convention.
A prophetic word came through our father in the Lord, Daddy Mike Bamiloye during the convention from Isaiah 54: 1-5. This propelled us into 2021 with a bang! We received the assignment to reach out to the youths and young adults to provide guidance and hope amid a confused world and the decaying moral systems that exist. We therefore organized by the leading of the Holy Spirit periodic virtual retreats for the boys and the girls.
The girls’
retreat is tagged NOT A DINAH: the first one was held on January 23rd,
2021. The second held on March 27th, 2021. The 3rd
retreat which was held on June 21st, 2021, was a joint
Mother-daughter retreat, with the theme: The Ideal relationship. The 4th
girls’ retreat which was held on May 28th, 2022, had a theme:
‘Preparing for I do, how do I know?’.
We have had 3 boys' retreats tagged NOT A SAMSON. The first
boys' retreat was held on August 21st, 2021. The second boys'
retreat which was held on the 22nd of January 2022, had a theme:
‘overcoming additions and sexual sins.’ The 3rd retreat which was
held on the 27th of August 2022, had the theme: ‘Becoming a man,
what is necessary?
We have outstanding testimonies from these retreats to the
glory of God. We presently have 3 WhatsApp groups for the Not a Dinah ladies
and one for the Not A Samson guys. On this platform, we engage them and offer
one on one counseling and prayers when needed. It has been an amazing journey.
Our 2021 convention was held on November 5th and
6th and was tagged ‘Manifestation’, with our reference verse from
Romans 8:19(KJV).
We have our yearly Vision Carrier Texas magazine. We have a website where our 2022 online magazine can be viewed, and the world can interact with us. We have had 2sets of executives since inception, the second set was inaugurated in November 2022 and is to serve till 2023.
In 2021, the Texas chapter gained two sister chapters. New
York chapter and California chapter.
Upcoming events in 2023 include Not A Dinah 5, Not a Sapphira.
At the mothers’ global summit in November 2021, Vision Carriers United States of America was inaugurated. Membership now spans over 17 states of the US: Texas, California, New York, New Jersey, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Minnesota, Virginia, Nevada, Delaware, Alabama, Ohio, Michigan, Maryland, Massachusetts, and Tennessee. We also have members from other countries that join us for prayers like Trinidad and Tobago, Germany and even Namibia. Vision Carriers USA meeting on the 4th Thursday of every month to pray together. The first Vision Carriers USA convention held on November 11th and 12th 2022. Our theme was ‘Occupy till I come’ (Luke 19:13, KJV).
